PwC’s Governance Insights Center’s flagship report – the 2016 Annual Corporate Directors Survey – is a comprehensive report based on the responses of 884 public company directors highlighting factors that are influencing board decision-making.
This year’s report states that investors are now exerting more influence than ever on boards and how management teams operate, creating an “investor-centric” model today instead of the “board-centric” model of the past.
The report includes great insights and data around board diversity (and the opposing views of male and female directors) and shareholder activism (directors actually think they’re good for business).
Additional data on a number of other board topics include:
- Proxy access
- Board priorities
- Cybersecurity
