A growing group of compliance and information security professionals are volunteering to provide job searchers with resume feedback, mock interviews, virtual networking or other career-building resources.
If you’re in the job market — or want to help those who are — we want to hear from you!
Ready to get started? First, read the Rules of the Road. We want everyone to have a positive experience, so these guidelines are designed to (1) protect your privacy and (2) make the most of the time that volunteers have committed.
Next, review the opportunities currently available to job-seeking CCC members:
Offered at least once per month, these are relaxed Zoom meetings hosted by compliance, risk and InfoSec professionals who have volunteered their time. The events feature a brief presentation followed by informal (but slightly-structured) networking in small group break-out sessions.
Practice your job interview skills in mock interviews conducted by a volunteer. At this writing, mock interviews will most likely be offered during a pre-scheduled one-on-one session during one of CCC’s virtual networking events.
Need some resume feedback that goes beyond catching a typo or two? A CCC volunteer will review your submitted resume and provide helpful feedback via email.
LinkedIn Profile Review
A volunteer will visit your Linkedin profile and then contact you via email with feedback or suggestions to help you optimize your LinkedIn presence.
One-on-One Career Counseling Conversation
Need some general job search advice, a fresh perspective from a peer — and possibly a pep talk? We can connect you with a volunteer for a one-on-one conversation.
Want to take part? Complete the form on this page. Privacy note: your contact information will be shared with a CCC volunteer. You won’t be contacted by any other third party, nor will your name be added to any other mailing list without your express permission (But you read the Rules of the Road, so you know that already, right? If not, read them now!)
