BILL has integrated 1099 tax form filing capabilities into its financial operations platform, allowing small and medium-sized businesses to manage vendor payments and tax compliance in one system. The new features will be fully available Jan. 2, 2025, with W-9 collection capabilities available immediately.
The solution, part of BILL‘s accounts payable offering, enables businesses to collect W-9 documents, categorize expenses, generate and deliver 1099 forms to vendors and file electronically with the IRS. The company developed the feature in response to demand from accounting firms, which identified 1099 creation and filing as their most requested client advisory service.
“Without the right technology, the process of filing year-end forms for vendors and contractors can be complicated and time consuming for SMBs, plus it can be challenging to stay compliant,” said Ariege Misherghi, a senior vice president at BILL.
