Enterprise data management firm Panzura has released CloudFS 8.5 Adapt, an upgrade to its hybrid cloud file platform that introduces new features for business continuity and regional data access.
The platform’s new “Instant Node” feature enables rapid node replacement or migration within minutes, offering an alternative to traditional high-availability infrastructure, the company said in a news release. Additionally, a “Regional Store” feature allows organizations to create up to four localized object stores across cloud regions to reduce latency for geographically dispersed teams.
“Today’s enterprise must anticipate and respond to a dynamic state of ‘permacrisis’ where unpredictability is the new normal,” said Robert Kramer, vice president and principal analyst at Moor Insights & Strategy. “With CloudFS 8.5 Adapt, Panzura is taking another leap forward in unstructured data management, enabling their customers to stay ahead of the curve.”
