Luminance has launched a compliance module that uses AI agents to automate processes for compliance teams, the company says. The Cambridge, UK-based legal AI company’s new module is part of a series of team-specific agents designed to expand its capabilities beyond legal departments to other parts of the business that interact with contracts.
The compliance module uses Luminance’s AI to run workflows that check internal policies and external sources, such as regulations or sanction lists, allowing organizations to identify and address risk earlier in the contracting process.
“Luminance already has a deeply nuanced understanding of a business’s contracts end to end,” Eleanor Lightbody, CEO of Luminance, said in a news release. “With this launch, we’re turning that intelligence into action, giving compliance teams the tools they need to identify risk earlier, respond to change faster and work more strategically across the business.”
The platform provides compliance teams with a configurable dashboard showing real-time exposure across all active contracts. Failed compliance checks are automatically investigated and escalated to the compliance team, who receive notifications and a prioritized task list.
