Forcepoint has acquired Getvisibility, an AI-powered company specializing in data security posture management and data detection and response. The acquisition expands Forcepoint’s Data Security Everywhere platform with capabilities for managing data risk across hybrid cloud and generative AI environments.
The Austin, Texas-based cybersecurity company had partnered with Getvisibility for over two years before the acquisition. Getvisibility’s AI mesh technology will serve as a foundational layer in Forcepoint’s architecture, providing continuous data discovery, classification and risk-based mitigation. As part of the transition, Getvisibility co-founder Mark Brosnan joins Forcepoint as global engineering lead for data security posture management, while co-founder Ronan Murphy becomes chief data strategy officer.
