Privacy engineering firm Ethyca has secured $10 million in funding led by Aspenwood Ventures and AVP, while adding Mozilla, Axios and Ramp to its customer roster. The New York-based company will use the investment to enhance its enterprise-grade data privacy and AI governance platform.
The company offers Fides, an open-source privacy platform that allows organizations to embed privacy controls directly into their technical infrastructure,and the new funding will support product development and team expansion as Ethyca pursues growth in 2025.
“At Ethyca, we’re tackling the most critical challenges in data governance — ethics and trust when it comes to data privacy, and all the compliance needs associated with it,” said Cillian Kieran, CEO of Ethyca, which counts The New York Times and SurveyMonkey among its clients. “This new funding combined with our rapid enterprise adoption validates our thesis that compliance and data are rapidly converging for the world’s biggest companies.”
