New Executives to Bolster Convercent’s Strategic, Marketing and Professional Services Initiatives
DENVER, CO–(Aug 27, 2014) – Convercent today announced three new key appointments to its executive team, with Joe LeBas joining as Chief Strategy Officer, Chris Nixon hired as the company’s Executive Vice President of Marketing and Rachel Gerace as Vice President of Professional Services. All of the newly placed executives will help steer the evolution of Convercent’s integrated global compliance solutions — modernizing the way companies bring their compliance risks and initiatives together and measure success.
“Coming off the strongest quarter in our company’s history, we sought out the best executives in the field to build upon that growth and continue providing Convercent customers with a simple, effective and comprehensive solution to what’s traditionally been a complex problem of compliance risk,” said Patrick Quinlan, CEO of Convercent. “Joe LeBas and Chris Nixon bring the strategic and marketing talent to ensure we stay ahead of the market, and they’re already making an impact on our company and our customers. Having Rachel Gerace, who’s been with Convercent since its formation, shepherd our professional services division shows our continued commitment anticipating and exceeding customer expectations.”
As Convercent’s new Chief Strategy Officer, Joe LeBas is charged with strategic alliances and business development, product strategy and international expansion. Mr. LeBas brings a blend of successful GRC and enterprise software leadership to Convercent. He previously served as President, North America for BWise, helping lead the global GRC company to a successful acquisition by NASDAQ OMX. Prior to that, Mr. LeBas helped build Big Data software pioneer Vivisimo (now part of the IBM Watson group), PolyServe (now part of HP) and PeopleSoft. Mr. LeBas is an active practitioner in the GRC space, with memberships in the Institute of Internal Auditors (IIA) and National Association of Corporate Directors (NACD).
“I believe the GRC market has yet to achieve its potential in enabling true, demonstrable and sustainable change through use of technology to automate risk-driven compliance processes,” said Mr. LeBas. “The team at Convercent has thoroughly impressed me with the modern technology they have developed and an approach to the overall ownership experience not yet seen in this market. It is an honor to join them at this stage of Convercent’s growth. The ultimate winners are going to be the customers.”
Overseeing Convercent’s marketing efforts as Executive Vice President, Chris Nixon will focus upon designing and executing a strategic marketing plan that drives new customer growth. Mr. Nixon brings a proven track record of success to Convercent, having led marketing teams at high-growth software organizations including TapInfluence, Rivet Software and Triple Creek Associates, among others.
“Convercent is easy to market because it cuts through all the complexity of procuring and installing point solutions for compliance management, case management, policy management and training, in favor of an integrated, cloud-based solution that includes everything a customer needs to get up and running in days, rather than weeks or months,” said Mr. Nixon. “Managing risk and compliance is different for every company and employee. Yet, as I’ve begun to speak with our customers and hear the success they’ve had implementing Convercent’s new approach to risk-based compliance, it’s been exciting to see how our single platform helps such disparate organizations define, analyze and take action to mitigate their risk.”
Rachel Gerace will oversee services and support at Convercent as its new Vice President of Professional Services. Having previously served as the company’s Director of Customer Experience, Ms. Gerace has extensive experience in developing high-performing teams offering professional services and support to customers worldwide. Her prior experience includes establishing and managing the Project Management Office at Rivet Software, as well as Director of Customer Support Services and Manager of Client Services for Knowledge Factor.
“There’s a clear need to raise the standard for the GRC customer experience,” observes Ms. Gerace. “It’s my goal that we’re as easy to work with as our software is easy to use. We constantly hear about the challenges of antiquated software made worse by unresponsive support in this space. Convercent’s not only in a position to dispel these stereotypes, but to demonstrate to the market that leveraging the right technology can simplify, not further complicate, their jobs. Convercent sets our clients on a path to building an ethical corporate culture that’s easy to manage and easy for employees to comply with.”
