Compliance Risk Concepts acquired Oyster Consulting, create CRC-Oyster, a combined risk and compliance consulting firm serving financial services organizations. Financial terms were undisclosed, but the companies announced full integration is expected by the end of the year.
The merger doubles CRC‘s size and brings together complementary capabilities from both firms to serve clients navigating regulatory compliance challenges. CRC received a growth investment from MidOcean Partners in January 2024 to support expansion.
“Our acquisition of Oyster is a testament to this commitment to our clients, allowing us to expand our capabilities, strengthen our team and better position us to serve our collective clients in deeper and more meaningful ways,” Mitch Avnet, founder of CRC, said in a news release. Buddy Doyle, founding principal and CEO of Oyster, will join CRC-Oyster’s executive leadership team and focus on integration and expansion efforts.
