Cloud Software Group has agreed to acquire Arctera, a data management company, from funds affiliated with Carlyle, the global investment firm. Terms of the transaction, which is expected to close during the fourth quarter of 2025, were not disclosed. Arctera will operate as a standalone business unit within Cloud Software Group upon closing, the company said.
Arctera spun off from Veritas Technologies in 2024 and offers data resilience, compliance and protection solutions. Cloud Software Group was formed in 2022 after the merger of Citrixx and Tibco.
“We have long admired Arctera’s business and the work that the Arctera and Carlyle teams have done to expand the business,” Tom Krause, CEO of Cloud Software Group, said in a news release.
The deal is subject to regulatory approvals and customary closing conditions.
