Despite headlines to the contrary, investor perceptions toward ESG and impact investing continue their positive upward trajectory, though misunderstandings persist, according to a survey of nearly 300 advisers, fund managers and investors in the U.S. and Europe.
Here’s a look at some of the key findings of the study by JTC and OpportunityDb:
- 90% of respondents have a favorable view of impact investing.
- European investors are more likely to consider reporting on impact investing difficult when compared to American investors, which speaks to the more mature status of European regulation in this area.
- 72% of investors say ESG metrics and standards are incorporate into their investing strategies a majority of the time.
