Basware, the Finnish invoice management company, announced that it will acquire Trustpair, a payment fraud prevention platform. Terms were not disclosed, and the companies expect the deal to close later this year.
France-based Trustpair, which was founded in 2017, will continue to operate under the leadership of co-founder and CEO Baptiste Collot, a representative told CCI.
The acquisition will deliver invoice lifecycle assurance covering the complete end-to-end transaction: Basware confirming an invoice is legitimate and approved, Trustpair confirming payment reaches the intended supplier, a news release said.
“Basware has spent more than 40 years protecting the invoice. Bringing Basware and Trustpair together extends that protection through the payment itself,” Jason Kurtz, CEO at Basware, said in the news release. “Together, we will offer the first end-to-end invoice-to-payment assurance in the market, strengthening financial integrity and continuous compliance across the invoice lifecycle.”
The proposed acquisition would be Accel-KKR-backed Basware’s fourth since 2023, with the company previously acquiring Glantus, AP Matching and Redmap. Trustpair maintains support from existing investors and shareholders, including Axeleo Capital, Breega and Tikehau Capital, the news release said.
