Identity verification provider authID has integrated its biometric authentication solutions with Zendesk’s customer support platform to help companies combat account takeover fraud at contact centers, the company said. The integration allows Zendesk users to verify customer identities through selfie verification rather than traditional security questions or PINs.
AuthID, a Nasdaq-listed biometric identity platform provider, developed the integration to address the growing threat of contact center fraud, which caused nearly $13 billion in losses in 2023, according to a study. The solution promises to verify user identities in less than a second while maintaining compliance with privacy regulations, such as GDPR and CCPA.
