Professional services company Davies unveiled an AI underwriting platform designed to streamline underwriting decisions for insurance clients. The platform, AI Underwriting Workbench, provides a centralized interface for managing underwriting tasks through a unified dashboard and includes an AI-powered rules engine to automate processes and handle complex scenarios.
The tool integrates with existing core systems through Davies’ modular API middle layer, allowing it to interface with policy administration, claims, billing, rating and document management systems. The platform uses what Davies calls a “pane of glass” layering process to unify risk views and streamline workflows without requiring replacement of existing systems.
“We are incredibly excited to bring our new AI Underwriting Workbench to the market. Our new platform has been designed by our experts who have worked decades in the field and are well-versed on the challenges our clients face daily with the current underwriting systems,” Daniele Pedrazzoli, senior partner and global head of insurance consulting and technology division at Davies, said in a news release.
