How can companies combat risks to employees & business?
Annual survey
2024 Health & Security Risk Outlook
What’s in this report from International SOS:
Only three years, the biggest global disruption in eight decades has almost been eclipsed by the volume of other challenges that have arisen since pandemic restrictions have eases. All these challenges test the resilience of businesses and their people.
The concurrent risks facing most organizations have increased markedly. This is not just International SOS’s opinion. It is validated by the organization’s survey of hundreds of business leaders and corporate security and health officers. The research shows that two-thirds believe ensuring the health, well-being and security of their workforces will be a tougher task in the coming year. This is a higher proportion than at any time in the past five years.
A few key findings of the research:
- Nearly 50% of those surveyed have been impacted by climate change in the past year.
- 80% of global risk professionals expect burnout to be a significant obstacle for business, yet only 41% of organizations feel equipped to properly manage this risk.
- AI poses big risks as it relates to disinformation / misinformation in the workplace, which 60% of leaders believe will impact business in 2024.
- 75% believe the workforce has higher expectations about duty of care than ever before.
