Keysight’s Riscure platform has received accreditation from the European Payments Initiative to conduct security evaluations for payment service providers, expanding the company’s EPI certification services. The accreditation allows the device security research lab to evaluate both acceptor and consumer payment service provider (PSP) systems alongside existing capabilities for EPI standalone wallets and digital wallet applications.
The European Payments Initiative is a consortium of 16 European banks and financial service providers developing a unified digital wallet and account-to-account payment solution for Europe. The initiative aims to create an alternative payment system based on instant payment schemes, supporting in-store, online and person-to-person transactions across European retail markets in response to regulatory calls for an independent payment infrastructure.
“With this accreditation, we’re able to support even more companies in securing their payment solutions,” Pascal van Gimst, vice president of sales and business development at Keysight, said in a news release.
