HaystackID has launched a suite of tools designed to help legal teams identify and authenticate digital media, including deepfakes and AI-generated content, the legal technology services company said. The HaystackID VALID suite — which stands for Verification and Legal Identification/Authentication of Digital Media — combines analytics, forensic workflows and reporting to validate images, video and audio for use in court cases.
The Chicago-based company, which provides data and workflow management services for legal, compliance, regulatory and cybersecurity needs, also announced it has added integration services for Relativity aiR, a generative AI platform for document review, and introduced data migration services to help clients move legacy data to RelativityOne, Relativity’s cloud-based e-discovery platform.
“A deepfake inquiry isn’t simply an image check — it’s a comprehensive evidentiary examination,” John Wilson, chief information security officer and president of forensics at HaystackID, which has recently expanded its presence in the UK with new offices and staff in London, said in a news release.
