Fernando Palma

Fernando Palma headshot 7-16-14Fernando Palma is the Executive Director – Corporate Compliance at EY (formerly Ernst&Young). Palma has 20 years of experience in the legal area, with the last 9 of them dedicated to Compliance, ethics and corporate integrity. He has graduated in Law on 1998 and post-graduated on Civil Procedural Law on 2002. He has worked on cutting-edge law firms up to 2005. He also has worked for 4 years on the retailer group Walmart Stores, Inc., most of them on the United States as an expatriate. Palma has also acted as South America Compliance Head of the multinational Archer Daniels Midland (ADM), and also as Americas Compliance Officer for the multinational Stryker Corporation.
Palma, since 2011, is a member of SCCE Society of Corporate Compliance and Ethics, where on that year he has earned the CCEP – Certified Compliance and Ethics Professional title. He also teaches the Compliance course post-graduation in the Risk Management and Fraud Prevention at FIA – Fundação Instituto de Administração (Management Institute Foundation). Palma is a member of the Compliance Counsel at IASP – Instituto dos Advogados de São Paulo (São Paulo Lawyers Institute), and director of IBEC – Instituto Brasileiro de Ética e Compliance (Brazilian Institute of Ethics and Compliance), in addition to full professor of the compliance officers training of LEC – Legal, Ethics & Compliance.
