Fiona Schaeffer is an international antitrust lawyer with over 25 years of experience practicing on both sides of the Atlantic. Clients entrust Schaeffer with the defense of “bet-the-company” criminal and civil cases as well as their most complex transactions. She counsels clients in a variety of industries, with a particular depth of experience in healthcare, financial services, energy, media and communications. Schaeffer regularly represents clients in FTC and DOJ investigations and follow-on class actions in the U.S. and internationally. She also counsels clients on optimizing intellectual property rights and licensing, distribution and marketing practices without creating unnecessary legal risks. Schaeffer began her legal career in the UK and has appeared before courts and regulators throughout the EU as well as other significant antitrust enforcement agencies around the world.
Adam Di Vincenzo is a partner in the Washington, D.C. office of Milbank and a member of the litigation and arbitration group. Di Vincenzo’s antitrust and competition law practice focuses on representing clients in government reviews of mergers and acquisitions, antitrust investigations and litigation. He has served as lead antitrust counsel for Fortune 500 public companies, and private equity sponsors and their portfolio companies, in dozens of antitrust matters before enforcement authorities in the United States (including the DOJ and FTC) and internationally. He has represented and counseled clients in some of the most significant antitrust M&A matters in recent history, including AT&T’s acquisition of Time Warner, Williams’ merger with Energy Transfer and Roche’s acquisition of Spark Therapeutics. His other notable representations include Berkshire Hathaway Energy, Walmart, Schlumberger, Kimberly-Clark, Southern Company, United Therapeutics and Intel.
