Matteson Ellis founded and leads Miller & Chevalier's Latin America practice. He guides clients on cross-border internal investigations and corporate compliance strategies to address bribery and corruption, FCPA allegations, fraud, economic sanctions, business and human rights/forced labor, multilateral development bank sanctions, workplace misconduct, AML, conflicts of interest, and other sensitive ethics and compliance matters.
James Tillen is co-practice lead of Miller & Chevalier’s FCPA and internal anti-corruption practice. He works with US and non-US clients to address compliance challenges that arise in a variety of contexts, including compliance program design and implementation, transactional counseling, advisory opinions, internal investigations, enforcement actions by enforcement authorities and FCPA monitorships.
Maria Lapetina is an adviser to multinational companies, boards of directors, audit committees, special committees, financial services firms, international development banks and individuals. She regularly helps clients solve complex problems in multi-jurisdictional investigations, enforcement actions and compliance and transactional issues throughout the world, particularly in Latin America.
