Derek Gascon has spent more than twenty years in a range of positions related to information management, from IT leadership on the customer side to delivering products and solutions in the vendor community. As an IT manager early in his career he led the conversion of physical filing systems to computerized processes as well as the implementation of initial email, data warehouse, collaboration, network and storage systems. On the vendor side, Derek maintained a customer-centric approach in developing strategy and delivering solutions for email and medical image archiving, content management, index/search, and archive storage across diverse industries including banking, healthcare, media & entertainment, Web 2.0, law enforcement, higher education and others. His leadership experience crosses multiple disciplines including strategic planning, marketing, product management, software engineering and business development.
