Thomas J. Bussen (JD, MBA, DBA) is a professor of international business at the African Leadership University. He co-authored Compliance Management (2015), from which this article is partially excerpted. Compliance Management offers business and compliance professionals actionable tools to manage more ethical and compliant businesses. Bussen is also the author of the highly reviewed Shaping the Global Leader (2019) and Culturally Incorrect: A Call for Radical Evolution (expected, 2022).
