According to a recent study from Oversight Systems, business and leisure (bleisure) travel are increasingly intersecting as the new generation of employees enters the workforce. So-called bleisure travel can open the doors to fraud, waste and misuse in any corporate travel program.
Among the findings:
- Six out of 10 business travelers are more likely to mix business and pleasure on trips than they were five years ago
- 35 percent of business travelers had an expense on their report flagged as policy misuse
- 41 percent of women extend business trips for leisure versus 34 percent of men
