Kal Goldberg
Kal Goldberg is a Partner at Finsbury. He advises managements and boards on communications strategies across a wide variety of financial, corporate and crisis situations. These include mergers and acquisitions, restructurings and bankruptcies, IPOs, shareholder activism, litigation, senior management transitions, accounting restatements and regulatory and internal investigations. Transactions led by Kal have received wide financial and communications industry recognition, including “Consumer Deal of the Year” from M&A Advisor and “IPO of the Year” from IR Magazine.
Recent representations include Alliance Boots in its merger with Walgreens, NASDAQ/OMX in its acquisition of Thomson Reuters’ Multimedia Solutions Businesses and of eSpeed, CorpBanca in defending its merger with Itaú-Unibanco against activist fund Cartica Management, American Suzuki Motor Corporation in its U.S. restructuring and, the IPOs of FXall and RiskMetrics.
Kal was previously a Senior Managing Director in FTI Consulting’s strategic communications segment. Prior to FTI, Kal was an investment banker with Avalon Group and was previously a senior member of Hill & Knowlton’s corporate and financial practice. He holds an MBA in finance from NYU’s Stern School of Business and is a graduate of Washington University in St. Louis.
