Walgreens recently announced two significant compliance-related personnel decisions.
Laura K. Merten, who had been serving as the company’s divisional VP of health law, has now been appointed Chief Compliance Officer as well as divisional VP of compliance, loss prevention, and profit sharing.
Merten, a graduate of Purdue University, is replacing Chester G. Young, who is retiring at the end of January after 41 years with Walgreens. Bryan Schneider will replace Merten as VP of health law.
