Matthew Podowitz is a former Big 4 strategic management consulting executive with over 17 years of experience. He assists his clients realize their business strategies through measuring and improving returns on investment in business operations and information technology, improving business processes, reducing costs and proactively managing business risks. Matthew’s consulting competencies include strategic business and information technology management, corporate restructuring and strategic transactions such as mergers and acquisitions.
Matthew developed an interest in the potential of streamlining and enhancing the value of corporate compliance activities after watching his clients struggle to attain and maintain compliance with significant regulatory requirements such as HIPAA, SOX, and PCI. Through his work with clients in highly regulated industries such as healthcare, Matthew saw an opportunity to apply leading business process transformation and convergence principles to the compliance function and began to provide advice and thought leadership based on this point of view.
Matthew is an accomplished professional speaker and presents on professional topics several times annually at large national and international conferences and at local chapter meetings of various professional organizations including Strategic Research Institute, Law Seminars International, Information Systems Audit and Control Association and the Institute of Internal Auditors. He will be presenting on compliance convergence and related topics at two ISACA conferences coming up in July (International Conference) and October (North America GRC Conference) of 2009.

He currently provides independent consulting services through his company, Compass Rose Partners, LLC and pro-bono management consulting services to charitable nonprofit organizations through his organization, VolunteerConsultants.Org.
