Jodie Fredericksen is Assistant General Counsel and Director of Consulting Services for Corpedia, Inc., a leading ethics, compliance and risk assessment consulting company headquartered in Phoenix, Arizona. Ms. Fredericksen consults with Corpedia clients regarding a wide range of compliance matters, including writing and rewriting codes of conduct, as well as evaluating and redesigning compliance programs in light of U.S. Federal Sentencing Guidelines and Federal Acquisition Regulation. Ms. Fredericksen also serves as Director of the Ethisphere Council, a group of leaders and practitioners committed to raising the visibility of corporate ethics, compliance and social responsibility programs.
Prior to joining Corpedia, Ms. Fredericksen was an associate at Foley & Lardner LLP in Washington, D.C. Her practice focused upon defending corporations and executives in connection with investigations instituted by, or enforcement actions before, the Securities and Exchange Commission. While the vast majority of these cases centered on improper accounting allegations, many included aspects related to breakdowns in corporate compliance programs as well. While working at Foley & Lardner, Ms. Fredericksen’s responsibilities included conducting internal investigations, appearing before the Securities and Exchange Commission, and litigating cases in federal court.
Previous to her position at Foley & Lardner, Ms. Fredericksen was in private practice in Denver, Colorado, where her practice also focused on securities enforcement and litigation matters. While working at Sherman & Howard, LLC, Ms. Fredericksen was seconded to work in Qwest Communications Corporation’s Corporate Compliance department. In this role, Ms. Fredericksen assisted in conducting internal investigations and addressing compliance and privacy concerns.
Ms. Fredericksen received her Juris Doctor degree from the University of Iowa.
