Osamu Watanabe Named Chief Compliance Officer and General Counsel at Sargent Advisors

According to a press release circulated this morning, Sarget Advisors in New York has named Osamu Watanabe General Counsel and Chief Compliance Officer.  Osamu Watanabe is a verteran investment banking attorney who brings more than 25 years of legal and transactional experience, having provided legal counsel to several major investment banks throughout his career.

Previously, Osamu Watanabe spent eight years at UBS Investment Bank as its Executive Director and Senior Gounsel.  Prior to his time at UBS, Osamy Watanabe worked at Donaldson, Lufkin, and Jenrette and also was the Senior Vice President and Co-Head of Investment Banking Lawyers and General Counsel of GRP at Credit Suisse First Boston in Los Angeles.  From 1987 to 1997, Osamu Watanabe was in private practice at Sullivan & Cromwell.  He is a 1985 graduate of Yale Law School.
