Conselium is representing a global Fortune 500 company seeking a VP Global Strategic Sourcing.
The Company is experiencing one year revenue growth of 29% and seven year revenue growth of 1500%.
The Vice President, Global Strategic Sourcing, drives development and implementation of the global vision and strategy for strategic sourcing, providing flexible, responsive, and innovative sourcing support.
Responsibilities of VP, Global Strategic Sourcing:
- Leads the negotiations and to minimize total cost of ownership for goods and services. Oversees the development and quality of RFIs/RFPs to ensure compliance with required policies and procedures.
- Contributes to and influences the strategic planning process as it relates to strategic supplier costs. Influences the reduction of the supplier base to optimal levels. Maintains market knowledge to identify strategic opportunities to develop the current and prospective supplier base.
- Collaborates with senior management and executive levels to establish short-term and long-term business objectives for the procurement function
- Review of vendor performance, monitoring of contract budget performance, identifying variances and recommending corrective actions.
- Leads ongoing supplier base research and analysis, ensuring procurement team maintains an updated portfolio of supply options and sourcing trends.
- Establishes capabilities and directing spend analysis/reporting activities to: a) ensure near-real time identification of savings opportunities, b) identify non-compliant spend; c) support fact-based negotiation.
- Audits and monitors all procurement policies and procedures to ensure relevant shared information is obtained for competitive purchasing analysis, internal audits and performance and compliance measurement..
- Leads implementation of Procurement improvement programs and ensures on-time delivery of Procurement projects.
- Staff, manage and develop a high performing, motivated team of procurement professionals responsible for the development and implementation of “best in class” capabilities, processes and systems.
Qualifications
- 15+ years of experience managing the strategic sourcing function of a global, public company with a solid track record of initiating cost reduction improvement programs.
- Successful track record of transforming organizations through change management, process improvement and policy enhancements.
- Demonstrated ability to understand and align with the business units on – internal demand/process analysis, external supplier base analysis, total system cost modeling, supply strategy selection, supplier selection integration.
- Possesses demonstrated knowledge of procurement processes and technologies including e-Procurement.
