Curtis Schehr Named Senior VP-Chief Compliance Officer-Executive Counsel at DynCorp International

In a press release issued today by DynCorp Interntional, the company announced the creation a new senior executive position that includes the following titles and responsibilities: Senior Vice President, Chief Compliance Officer, and Executive Counsel.  The position will be manned by Curtis Schehr, who currently serves as the Senior VP, General Counsel, and Secretary.

The appointment of Curtis Schehr to the position of Senior VP-Chief Compliance Officer-Executive Counsel at DynCorp is effective immediately, and Schehr will be reporting directly to DynCorp President and CEO William Ballhaus while being responsible for “developing and implementing an integrated governance, risk and compliance framework across the company that captures ethics, compliance and regulatory areas, and effectively supports an accountable and transparent business environment.”

Mr. Schehr will also have “management oversight for the company’s ethics and business conduct program, related internal investigations, internal audit, and trade compliance, which includes all export and import activities. He will also have responsibility for other related regulatory and compliance matters.”

According to his profile at Forbes.com, Curtis Schehr made total compensation in 2008 of $742,915.  He is 50 years old and has been with DynCorp since October of 2006.  Prior to joining DynCorp, Mr. Schehr was the Senior VP, General Counsel, and Secretary of Anteon International Corporation.
