P&G is seeking a talented attorney to join its Legal organization with an initial assignment as a member of the Global Legal Compliance team. The position is located in P&G’s corporate headquarters in Cincinnati, Ohio.

The assignment in Global Legal Compliance will involve the full range of legal support to set and implement legal compliance policies and procedures across the Legal organization and all other functions and parts of P&G. Members of the team will work across legal areas and on all aspects of legal compliance, including identifying legal compliance areas of focus, working with appropriate P&G personnel to assess risk and set clear compliance policies, establishing legal compliance plans for areas of focus, coordinating and assisting in legal compliance plan implementation, developing standards for conducting internal legal compliance investigations, and coordinating legal compliance work with the businesses and other functions and, in particular with P&G’s Internal Audit organization. The position requires cross-team collaboration and coordination with business clients and legal colleagues.

After the initial assignment in Global Legal Compliance, the attorney may rotate to one of P&G’s multibillion dollar Global Business Units or other specialty practice groups, such as Labor & Employment, Corporate, Securities & Employee Benefits Law, Antitrust, Litigation, Environmental or Trademarks, as part of P&G’s attorney development system.

Requirements

A successful candidate must have:

  • Two to five years of legal experience with a law firm, in-house legal department, or government agency; experience in prosecution or in a legal compliance role a plus.
  • A J.D. with outstanding academic performance, with moot court, law review or judicial clerkships preferred
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, and very strong problem-solving skills
  • Track record of success in professional and personal activities
  • Proven ability to work as a member of a team
  • Membership in at least one state bar (preferably Ohio or be able to take and pass the Ohio bar exam within first year of employment)
