Chief Litigation / Risk Management Counsel Job Opening

Conselium is representing a Global Fortune 1000 manufacturing client with an office near Chicago, IL.  They are a leader in their industry.  Reporting to the General Counsel, you will be responsible for the areas of litigation management, risk management, insurance and internal investigations.

Responsibilities of Chief Litigation Counsel:

  • Develop an overall strategy to mitigate exposure to litigation
  • Retain and provide direction to outside counsel
  • Develop a comprehensive strategy to mitigate all kinds of business risk
  • Review and maintain a strategy for proper insurance coverage
  • Develop and implement a strategy to conduct internal investigations that may relate to ethics & compliance issues

Qualifications of Chief Litigation Counsel:

  • Experience within a corporate environment or law firm environment with responsibilities for litigation management, risk management, insurance and investigations
  • Experience managing direct reports
  • Executive presence to effectively influence others within the organization
